Yolaine Torres, MD was born in Matanzas, Cuba. She migrated to the US when she was 15 years old with her family and a dream to become a Physician. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at the University of Miami where she graduated with Honors in 2004. She was then accepted to the Universidad Iberoamericana School of Medicine in Dominican Republic where she spent the next 5 years studying Medicine. Graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2009 from Medical School. Dr. Torres completed her Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Miami / JKF Medical Center and Veteran’s Hospital in West Palm Beach and graduated in 2016. Since graduation has dedicated her life to Primary Care and Geriatrics with special interest in Endocrinological Conditions such as Diabetes and Thyroid Disease. Dr. Torres is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine since 2016. In addition to Internal Medicine and Geriatrics, Dr. Torres has significant experience on Palliative Care and Hospice. Torres have lived in the Miami area for over 20 years. She lives with her husband, children and 2 dogs. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
