myDoqter is America’s network of qualified physicians, built to foster the sanctity of the patient-doctor relationship. We are connecting doctors and patients through:
- professional-social (procial) media, and
- virtual healthcare technology created with physician insight.
myDoqter was founded in 2016 as just a simple idea conceived in the mind of Dr. Iyer in a Manhattan studio apartment: let's use the amazing power of technology not to disrupt, but to serve patients by elevating the sanctity of the patient-doctor relationship. Shortly thereafter, cofounders Dr. Leyda Bowes and Dr. Jason Lupton joined the mission, and support from our amazing team, fellow physicians, patients, and friends has since snowballed.
The current state of technology provides us with immense abilities limited only by our vision of how we use it. What if we designed a platform to help patients find the right physician match for them with transparency and ease, while simultaneously building the community tools to empower the patient-doctor relationship? What if we could restore the right connectivity in health care based on commitment to medical education, transparent credentials, sound information, and knowledge? What if we could create the world we want to see based on the values of compassion, honesty, integrity, and service to others?
Setting out on a journey to translate these values into the health care technology environment, we set up a physician-led UX and design team to build myDoqter, underscored by the tenets of the Profession of Medicine that we hold dear to create the most intuitive and efficient health care experience.
